TAN CAN
This is a form of tanning by UV light, gradually promoting the production of melanin in the skin. The results are easily instantly noticeable and completely natural to the eye.
Each session is 6-10 minutes, depending on the individual’s skin. It is advisable to start twice a week and build up to more regular sessions.
If your skin is fair and burns easily in natural sunlight, you will start on 6 minutes and slowly progress as the skin becomes more tolerant to the UV light.
If you have an olive skin and tan easily without burning, you can start on 8 minutes and within 2 sessions you will be at the maximum time of 10 minutes.
We do not recommend that the skin is to the tan can for more than 3 consecutive days as this may cause a heat rash and irritation to the skin.
Please bring along a sweat towel to your sessions. Tan accelerator and goggles may be purchased at your first session.
SPRAY TAN
This is a temporary spray on tan which lasts on the skin for up to 14 days, if the correct home care is carried out. There are various shades to choose from to match your skin tone, keeping the tan looking natural.
The product we use does not go orange/yellow, it develops into a golden brown colour. You can do full body, including or excluding the face or you can do half body (from the waist down or from the waist up).
It is essential to follow the pre and post tan tips to ensure a beautiful, even long lasting tan.
Pre-spray tan tips
Keep your skin moisturised in the week leading up to the tan. Wax/shave the day before. Exfoliate thoroughly with gloves or a sponge prior to your tan.
Avoid cream, deodorant and perfume the day of your tan. Wear loose, dark clothing and slops after your tan. Bring an umbrella if it is raining.
Post-spray tan tips
Avoid moisture for 8-12 hours. Use wet wipes for hands instead of washing. Avoid exfoliants and hair removal. Pat dry with a towel. Keep the skin moisturised. Use a water resistant SPF
